Studio Gorse is dedicated to transforming a brand’s story into an elevated, impactful interior.
Following a successful agency career, Sophie Chapman leads Studio Gorse as a small, adaptive interior studio in Cornwall set up at the tail-end of the pandemic in 2021.
Sophie has a network of experienced creatives she trusts across interior, furniture and product design, working alongside her where necessary to fulfil multiple or larger projects in tandem.
Studio Gorse brings a devotion to design, a personal yet business-minded approach, and in-depth sector knowledge to deliver interiors that exceed client expectations. Our projects focus on emotional and personal well-being and a deep discovery of the end user. We encourage the idea of domesticity within both residential and commercial spaces alike, with a layered materiality surrounding our design process.
Sophie has a first-class BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and passes on her industry knowledge to the next generation of creatives in the School of Architecture, Design & Interiors at Falmouth University.
"Creating a unique, future-proofed interior requires brand curiosity. It’s quite an intimate process to convey this as a physical space, and our experience plays a crucial role in translating that vision into reality.”
